| Complex of the baroque buildings in the usual scheme of the pilgrimage place, with the central church and surrounding ambulatory has been built betwwn 1658 - 1709 at the Svata Hora (the Holy Mountain). The complex is developed into a complicated form - stucco decoration, paintings, terrace with sculptures, chapel. In the lengthwise space of the chapel itself in the middle of the building, there is a silver altar with the Marian statue. | |
| At the turnover of 12th and 13th century arised original Stary zamek (Old Chateau), which was originally a farmstead (agricultural + residential buildings), later a gotic fortress and a castle. At the end of the 15th century, the fortress was rebuilt into a late gothic castle. In 1639 the castle was burnt out by the Swedish army and after 1648 repaired in the baroque style. At the beginning of 19th century some empire modifiactions took place. From the exposition: 10 chateau interiors mostly from 19th century, explaining lifestylo of the electors family of lords of Hanau, two permanent exhibitions explaining development of metallurgy and cast iron production in the region of Horovice.; exhibition paying attention to musical mashines, so called „automatophones“; exhibition of supernatural beings and ghosts in the chateau vaults, chateua park, etc. | |
